Chirag Satikuwar
A photographer and  sculpture artist Based out of Dubai, Chirag Satikuwar was always a curious child when it came to anything related to art. This curiosity became brighter observing his father work at his studio with his colleagues and friends. As he was still a child, he was denied participation in the complex process of photography and videography so he settled on shadowing his father as he went about creating art, which helped him pick up essential basics that would help him in his future journey in becoming a recognised artist.
The path to creativity was further cemented when he won his first point-and-shoot through a raffle draw. This was special to him since he was not allowed to touch any of the expensive equipment his father used, and so having his own camera, no matter how inexpensive, opened up new horizons for him. Carrying the camera around looking for anything that caught his eye to shoot soon depleted the camera's artistic abilities. This forced him to “borrow” his father's equipment without telling him. Not long after, he would be caught by him. This allowed a spotlight to shine on his creativity and be noticed by his father. Impressed by his son, he would allow him to accompany him to future shoots and projects. This helped him decide to pursue a career in photography.
He is not intimidated by any laborious and tiring processes that requires time to create the perfect picture or capture the perfect scene, even if it means spending days on end to create something of value. He gains immense gratification seeing the results of his hard work, regardless of whether it's personal or in a team environment. This dedication has also helped him work with many recognised clients across the country on several challenging projects.
When he isn't behind a camera or retouching images, you'll often find him indulging himself in the art of origami, the Japanese art of paper folding into complex shapes and figurines, or going on long walks in the city.
